The Slave River Native Adventure Tour

Tour Description: Paddle down the scenic Slave River (a historic route) via touring kayaks to visit some traditional Natives. Here you will Sleep in an authentic Tipi or Wig-Wam, eat bannock, drink some wild tea, and learn about native culture. All the while taking in the wildlife, fishing, woodcraft, and nature observation. We finish off with a ½ day paddle ending up at a unique restaurant.

This tour is suitable for families, groups, and individuals. The section of the Slave River is Class I. We’ve designed this tour to "fit" in a weekend so that people from Edmonton and other areas can either come up Friday night and stay in a local hotel or campground, or even drive up early Saturday morning. Then Sunday afternoon return home. We can offer this tour through the week also.
